☼STORAGE☼

Our packaged live foods are dehydrated (the liquid content has been removed). Therefore they are eager to absorb any available moisture from their surroundings. To maintain the firm yet soft texture store them in an airtight container. A glass jar with a well fitting lid is perfect. A Winnie the Pooh cookie jar could be fun, just make sure it is airtight! ☼SHELF LIFE☼

Our products have a remarkably long shelf life for live foods. With regards to the cookies this is primarily due to the use of honey as it is such a powerful, natural preservative. Still, they do contain nuts and nuts contain vital oils so, if you have incredible self control and plan on keeping a pack around for more than a month we suggest freezing them. This is safe for the live qualities and insures the stability of the nut oils. Again, make sure they are in an airtight container. They are quite firm right out of the freezer so allow about 1/2 hour for softening before biting!! Shelf life for the Vegan (Blue agave sweetened) cookies is a bit shorter so keep this in mind for storage.
